*Pastors Harold & Sherren McKenzie

“Behold how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity…” Psalm 133:1

Since their retirement from full-time pastoral ministry at Unity Church of Jesus Christ in State College, Harold and Sherren Mckenzie grace the Forge Financial team as Prayer Warriors and Spiritual Advisors.

In full time ministry since ordination in 1978, Harold also worked as a teacher for fourteen years in the Keystone Central School District. Fueled by his mother’s upbringing, his integrity and zeal for God was evident at an early age and grew into a great passion for following his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and serving His church. Reaching innumerable Penn State students and faculty, congregational healing and maturity, and community churches uniting to reach State College for Christ were his lifelong priorities that became hallmarks of a bountiful ministry and a life well-lived.

Sherren’s gift and talents aligned well with Harold’s in supporting the work of the Lord. Her passion is for the Creator to be expressed through God’s people. This passion spilled over into her career in schools as a Speech Pathologist. During her time as ministry partner to Harold, she became a Creative Expressionist, performing in community productions and sharing her heart for creativity through the arts within the church. Her multifaceted performances incorporate storytelling, poetry, prose, and song.

The McKenzies have three children and two daughters-in-law and are doubly blessed with eight grandchildren. Of Faith, He says, "As Christians, we are an integral part of God's redemptive plan for a world that is lost without Him."

Of Faith, She says, “If we would all listen to the Holy Spirit there would be no need among us."
