Fresh off retirement from a 42-year career in finance in the corporate and educational world, Jorja wanted to redirect her creative energy. As longtime client and friend of the owners, she believed Forge Financial had clear vision and integrity and wanted to join a team that used her current skills yet challenged her to grow. For twenty years, Jorja served the banking industry in various roles. The company offered educational opportunities to move up the “ladder” and Jorja determined to climb. After becoming a mother and wanting to spend more time at home, she accepted an offer to manage receivables and assist the CFO at the Mercersburg Academy Business Office. Jorja is a maker with a God-given desire to create things. She engages one-dimensional materials and explores shaping them into three-dimensional useful products. Clay, watercolor, glass, and textiles fuel Jorja’s curiosity. She says that it is not mastery but the solace God gives her in exploration of His creative resources that motivates her craft. Jorja and her husband have one daughter and two grandchildren. All of them have generously enriched her to be herself and soar.

Of Faith, She says, “I walk daily in who I am as a believer in Jesus Christ! I concentrate on relishing the present moment, in company of the people and adventures that God drops. I know that I am a sojourner through this life and in walking with Him, I realize my eternal home.”
